Individual Therapy

Being human today means juggling expectations, breaking barriers, and still finding time to wonder if we’re doing it all wrong.

We provide individual therapy on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, both in-person and via telehealth. Fuse's approach integrates evidenced-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), feminist therapy, and mindfulness. These modalities work together to provide a powerful approach for improving mental wellness. DBT offers practical skills to manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve relationships. Feminist therapy emphasizes understanding how societal pressures and power dynamics impact your mental health, empowering you to reclaim your voice and agency. Mindfulness helps you develop greater self-awareness, reduce emotional reactivity, and stay grounded in the present moment. Together, these approaches can help you build resilience, create meaningful change, and live a life aligned with your values.

Mood and Personality Disorders

Mood disorders, like depression or bipolar disorder, involve persistent emotional highs, lows, or instability that can interfere with daily life. Personality disorders are patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that are deeply ingrained and may cause difficulties in relationships, self-image, or coping with stress. Both can impact how a person experiences and interacts with the world, but they are treatable with therapy, support, and sometimes medication.

Women's, Gender, and Societal Issues

Gender inequality and misogyny can lead to mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem due to constant unfair treatment, judgment, or discrimination. Women may also experience stress, burnout, or trauma from feeling unsafe or undervalued in their daily lives. Over time, these challenges can impact their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life.

Parenting Issues

Parenting, especially as the default parent managing the mental load, can be overwhelming and emotionally exhausting. Constantly organizing schedules, making decisions, and meeting the needs of everyone in the family can lead to stress, burnout, and feelings of resentment or invisibility. Over time, this imbalance can strain mental health, making self-care and support essential.

Anger/Rage/Irritability

Feelings of anger and irritability can make it hard to stay calm and focused during the day. They can lead to arguments with family or friends, trouble getting along with others, or difficulty staying patient in stressful situations. Over time, these feelings can cause stress, hurt relationships, and make daily tasks feel overwhelming.

Preconception, Pregnancy, and Postpartum

The journey through preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum can bring significant mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and feelings of overwhelm, as individuals navigate physical, emotional, and lifestyle changes. The pressure to prepare for parenthood, hormonal shifts, and the demands of caring for a newborn can lead to feelings of isolation or self-doubt. These experiences, while common, can deeply affect emotional well-being and are important to address with support and care.

PMDD/PMS, Reproductive Concerns, Menopause

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a severe form of PMS that causes intense mood swings, irritability, and depression in the days before a period. Other hormone-related mental health conditions, like postpartum depression or mood changes during menopause, happen when shifts in hormones affect emotions and energy levels. These conditions can make daily life hard to manage but are treatable with the right support and care.
